Heaven's Economy

Proverbs 11:24-25 24 There is one who scatters yet increases more; and there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty. 25 The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself.
This Scripture is an enigma to the world’s way of thinking. The world believes “If I give what I have, I will have less.” This Scripture promises just the opposite. If I scatter (give) what I have, I will increase (receive even more) in this world and in the world to come. This is consistent with Heaven’s economy and God’s principles for giving and receiving. It’s the generous soul that God increases and makes rich.
This Scripture also addresses withholding more than what is right; whatever is right being what God has in mind. Withholding more than is right leads to poverty. We still have a choice to give or not, and to agree to give what is right or not. God gives us peace in our heart for what is right. When that peace comes, we are settled. We are unsettled when it doesn’t come. If you are unsettled in your giving, check your heart.
